Microsoft Teams is a chat-based collaboration tool that is part of the Office 365 suite of services. Teams enables local and remote co-workers to work together in real and near-real time. It provides customizable workspaces and guest access to facilitate business-to-business (B2B) project management.

In its simplest form the service allows users to set up Teams, each of which is essentially a hub for group chat rooms, which are called channels.

Multiple chat rooms or channels can be created within a Team and to help keep chats easy to follow, conversations are threaded, flow from top to bottom and notify users of updates. If users need face-to-face conversation, they can jump straight into Skype voice or video chats with other channel participants with a single click.


Using chat and online meetings you can meet with anyone inside and outside your organisation. You have access to scheduling assistance, note taking, desktop sharing, uploading files and chat messaging.


Co-author and share files with Office365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint and Power BI.


Customise your workspace with alerts to notify you of updates or changes. Save important conversations and access them easily later.
